Hello guys,

Welcome to March Madness! and no, I am not talking about the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s Basketball Tournament where 68 teams play to determine a National Champion of men’s NCAA, I am talking about The Gift styles definition 😀.

At the Gift Style we believe that gifting should be a Lifestyle. Every day can be a gifting day do you agree?

The month of March has 31 days and every day in the month of March has several mini gift-giving non- holidays. There is actually a full list, you will be amazed.

Well for me, the countdown into the Month of March always gets me excited and anxious (but in a good way😄). Maybe because when I think of March, I think of the word RESET. Yeah i know you don’t have to wait for a new month to do that, you can “reset” your life, your goals, your plans right now! But it is a Fact that the Month of March used to be the First month of the year until the Gregorian calendar changed it in 1752. Maybe I feel the new month in my gut because a part of me connects with Pre-Gregorian era? or maybe not😂 but I am extra hopeful about this “March 1st, 2018 “RESET”. Are you?

Back to The Gift Style’s March Madness!

Did you know that March 1st is National Peanut Butter Lovers day“?Unlike the “National Peanut Butter Day” that celebrates the food itself, today is a “un-holiday” to celebrate the Lovers of the yummy food that is best used as a spread on some of your favorite “chows”& snacks, I love me some peanut butter on green apples😋.

March 1st is also share a smile day.

Here is one of my favorite quotes from Mother teresa about gifting a smile…..

Can you think about those words for a few seconds? Feel the power in that quote & remember that the next time you smile at someone, especially a stranger.

Anyways, here is a DIY gift idea to start off the Month of March.

You need:

  • Clear plastic
  • Ribbons
  • Scissors and
  • A Jar of Peanut Butter 😉
  • Additional chocolate gift (optional)

Wrap the Jar of peanut butter nicely using pleat method ( I will be sharing gift wrapping tips over time).

Fasten with a ribbon, and that is it.

Present your Peanut Butter wrapped with Love to your favorite Peanut Butter loving friend, colleague or maybe even your neighbour “just because”……

Don’t forget to be fully dressed with a smile 🙂

Love + Light

Lillian
